Summary, notice description and lot information
NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board, in collaboration with NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board, and NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board, is conducting the planning stage for the procurement of a Host Organisation for Adult Critical Care Transfer Services in the North West. This initiative aims to select a Care Quality Commission (CQC) Registered Acute Provider for General Adult Critical Care Services. To kickstart this process, a Market Engagement Event is scheduled for 1st April 2025 at Chorley District Hospital, with registrations closing on 21st March 2025 at noon.
The event aims to provide detailed information to potential providers about the service's needs, current positioning, expectations, and next steps. This tender presents significant opportunities for CQC-registered NHS Acute Trusts specialising in General Adult Critical Care Services to expand their operations and enhance their service offerings in the North West region. Participating in the market engagement event allows businesses to gain insights into the expectations and requirements of the procurement, potentially positioning themselves favourably for the forthcoming competitive procurement process set to commence in April 2025.
Successful providers will have the opportunity to deliver and manage critical care transfer services across Lancashire, South Cumbria, Cheshire, Merseyside, and Greater Manchester, thereby contributing to the improvement of healthcare services in these areas.
North of England Commissioning Support (NECS ) is a care system support organisation working for and on behalf of NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board - (Lead ICB), NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board, and NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board (the Relevant Authorities), who are delivering a Market Engagement Event leading to a competitive procurement under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 to commission a Host Organisation - to procure, deliver and manage the North West Adult Critical Care Transfer Service. Additional information: The Host Organisation should be an NHS Acute Trust who is CQC registered for the provision of General Adult Critical Care Services. Please note a future procurement is expected to be undertaken during April 2025 and any successful provider from that procurement will be required to deliver the service from a base located within the North West.
