NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (referred to as the Commissioner) are inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to engage with the ICB for the potential future provision of commissioning a Learning Disability Respite Service for People aged 18+ with a learning disability, who are under the duty of care of NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and are registered with a GP within Norfolk & Waveney.<br/><br/>This market engagement is designed to assess the markets interest in delivering a five-bed residential respite service with nursing care for adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.<br/><br/>The service will be provided 24 hours per day, seven days a week including days, evenings and weekends, and will be provided over a full 52 weeks per year, as defined and detailed in the Essential Standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Except for closure for staff training (4 days per year) and Christmas closure arrangements to be agreed with the nominated liaison team manager who oversees referrals to the service.<br/><br/>The deadline for this market engagement questionnaire is by 2.00pm on Friday 6th June 2025. The ICB is planning a Market engagement event on Monday 9th June 2025 (via Teams). Further information will be provided following the closure of the market engagement question and is dependent on level of interest received as to whether the Teams event on the 9th June with proceed.
