Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) across London plan to open the Pan-London Nursing Homes Any Qualified Provider (AQP) contract to new applicants. This initiative encompasses five ICBs: NHS North Central London, North East London, North West London, South East London, and South West London, all overseeing the provision of nursing home services for adults in CQC-registered facilities. The procurement, which falls under the category of health and social work services, will be managed via the CarePulse eProcurement platform with applications accepted starting from 10 March 2025 on an ongoing basis.
Although there is no guaranteed volume of activity for the providers, this procurement aims to compile a list of eligible nursing homes for NHS Continuing Healthcare placements, particularly fast-track cases. This procurement presents substantial opportunities for businesses operating CQC-registered nursing homes in and around London to become recognised providers for NHS services. The contract can drive growth by granting access to a consistent stream of service requests through the pan-London AQP list.
Ideal candidates for this tender are established nursing home providers seeking to expand their client base within the healthcare sector. Interested businesses should prepare to navigate the detailed Provider Selection Regime Direct Award Process and ensure compliance with the required standards to leverage this strategic opportunity for business expansion.
The following five NHS Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) in London - North Central London, North East London, North West London, South East London, and South West London - intend to open the Pan-London Nursing Homes Any Qualified Provider (AQP) contract to new applicants. This contract covers the provision of nursing home services for adults in CQC-registered nursing homes and is applicable to providers with nursing homes in London or the surrounding area. Successful providers will be added to the pan-London AQP list. This AQP list is used by the ICBs as the primary route for commissioning NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) placements for adults, including fast-track CHC. Nursing home providers that are already on the Pan-London Nursing Homes AQP contract do not need to apply. The procurement will be undertaken under the Provider Selection Regime Direct Award Process B and administered via the CarePulse eProcurement platform. Applications will be open from Monday 10 March 2025 on a rolling basis, with no deadline for applying. The contract does not guarantee any volume of activity or payment to the Provider. There is no minimum number of packages that the Provider can expect to receive through the contract. If you have any questions, please email LPH.NursingHomesAQP@nhs.net.
