Summary, notice description and lot information
The procurement process for "Primary Care Support England" is managed by NHS England, targeting the provision of essential health services. This tender focuses on modifying an existing contract for the delivery of primary care support services across England, with a specific emphasis on administration services vital to the functioning of primary care organisations. NHS England is the buying organisation, located in Leeds, with the contract activity centred in the UKE4 region.
The procurement falls under the "services" category within the health services industry and is currently at the contract update stage. A significant amendment to the existing arrangement involves an 18-month extension of the service provision, ensuring continuity and smooth transition to future service arrangements. The contract modification adheres to the Public Contract Regulations 2015, namely Regulation 72(1)(b) and 72(1)(e).
Key dates include the start date of the extended contract on 1st September 2025 and its conclusion by 31st August 2028. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health services and related administration to tap into a critical NHS contract, offering growth potential through long-term commitment in the public sector sphere. The scope for engaging in this tender is particularly favourable for firms with expertise in providing comprehensive administration services, IT solutions for healthcare, customer relationship management, and consultancy.
The procurement method used aligns with competitive public procurement practices, offering a fair chance to explore business avenues. Companies such as CAPITA BUSINESS SERVICES LTD, who are already involved, illustrate the kind of robust corporate entity well-suited for this opportunity. Businesses adept at meeting regulatory requirements while delivering sophisticated healthcare management solutions would find a significant growth pathway through active participation in this tender.
A modification to NHS England's contract for the delivery of the Primary Care Support Services, which are essential administration services that underpin Primary Care in England. The modification agrees between the Parties to extend the Contract for a period of 18 months and confirms timeframes for invoking the Termination Assistance Period, provided for within the Contract. This modification is made in accordance with the safe harbour of Regulation 72(1)(b) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015. In addition, we do not consider this to be a substantial modification and so the modification is also made in accordance with the safe harbour of Regulation 72(1)(e) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
