Summary, notice description and lot information
The Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has announced the intention to award a contract to ALDER HEY CHILDRENS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST for the provision of Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Surgeons. This contract, guided by the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, will start on 1 April 2025 and end on 31 March 2026, valued at £351,798. The procurement stage is currently in the award phase, and submissions were required by 12:00 midnight on 14 February 2025.
The hospital is located at Moroney House, Thomas Drive, Liverpool, UKD72. This tender creates substantial opportunities for business growth, particularly for organisations that specialise in healthcare services. Companies with expertise in cardiac surgery, especially ACHD, can benefit from collaborations and service provisions under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR).
The focus on quality, innovation, integration, service sustainability, and social value suggests that businesses with strengths in these areas would be well-suited to compete. The existing provider’s success denotes a high standard and close geographical collaboration that enhances patient care and operational efficiencies, setting a benchmark for other interested providers.
