Summary, notice description and lot information
The contracting process led by the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board details the modification of a contract for health services under the Provider Selection Regime. The contract pertains to the provision of elective inpatient, daycase, and outpatient services covering a variety of specialties such as General Surgery, Orthopaedics, and Urology across locations including Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire & South Cumbria, and Greater Manchester areas. The procurement, initially awarded under regulations distinct from the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, involves the novation of the contract from Fairfield Independent Hospital to Circle Health Group Ltd.
The contract started on 1st April 2023 and its term has been extended by 12 months, now expiring on 31st March 2026, with a modification value of £12,673,000. The procurement method employed was limited, specifically an award procedure without prior publication, confirmed on 19th November 2024. This tender presents business growth opportunities particularly for large healthcare providers with capacities in various patient care specialties related to elective procedures.
Organisations with experience in managing large-scale health service contracts across multiple geographical regions will find this opportunity advantageous. The detailed requirements for health services and the scope for extending contracts offer potential for long-term collaboration with the NHS, making it a lucrative option for providers aiming to expand their market presence in the public health sector.
