The purpose of the market sounding questionnaire is to gain insight into the market to understand the level of interest and capacity of the market in respect of delivery of the support services which would include covering 236 beds and providing support whether via a landlord acting in both capacities or a support provider with arrangements in place with a landlord of suitable accommodation. The Supported Accommodation Pathway for Complex Singles offers housing and support to rough sleepers and other single Service Users experiencing homelessness, particularly those facing multiple disadvantages and a history of entrenched or repeat homelessness. The pathway operates using a trauma-informed approach, focusing on stabilisation and tailored support.
The pathway supports Service Users with high, medium, and low support needs, including those with specific needs such as mental health and substance misuse. The service aims to equip Service Users with the skills needed for independent living, prevent repeat homelessness, and promote social inclusion. The current Supported Accommodation Pathway for Complex Singles comprises 348 beds across seven contracts.
Westminster City Council intends to maintain this capacity and explore options to increase it in the future.
