Summary, notice description and lot information
The Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust has issued an intention to award notice for the provision of Family Support Services related to Substance Misuse. This procurement falls under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, hence is not governed by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The service, classified under miscellaneous health services and identified by CPV code 85140000, will be delivered in the Hampshire area (region UKJ3), from 1st July 2025 to 31st March 2032.
The procurement stage is currently at the award stage, with a standstill period where representations can be made by 23rd June 2025. The current procurement method used is limited, with the contract intended to be awarded directly to Parent Support Link, carrying a value of £1,192,100 including extension options. This tender provides significant opportunities for business growth, particularly for large organisations with expertise in health and social care services.
The contract aims to enhance cooperative and inclusive treatment services for families affected by substance misuse, offering businesses the chance to participate in a collaborative effort to tackle health inequalities and enhance social value. Companies experienced in delivering integrated health services, particularly in the field of rehabilitation, or those geared towards working with NHS bodies and local health authorities, will find this procurement particularly advantageous. The direct award method may also indicate an emphasis on quality and innovation, prioritising providers who already have a proven track record and existing relationships in the local community.
Inclusion NHS deliver the Adult and Young People's Community Drug and Alcohol Services for the County of Hampshire and have worked together in partnership with Parent Support link to deliver these services since 2015. This new contract provides us with an opportunity to further develop and refine the services for family and carers, to increase the inclusivity and cooperative nature of treatment services and to combine with Catch 22, Recovery Workers, Children of Substance Misusing Parents Workers and Family Recovery Workers and to maximise the support for whole families. While supporting family and carers independently of their loved ones is our first priority, the combination of teams and partners in the Hampshire contract provide an excellent opportunity to work in concert with treatment services to assist the person with drug and alcohol problems. The trusts intention is to award this contract to Parent Support Link through Direct Award process C and the approximate lifetime value of the contract is PS1,192,100.00 inc extension options and the dates between which the services are intended to be provided are 1st July 2025 - 31st March 2032 inc all extension options
