Summary, notice description and lot information
Bridgend County Borough Council recently completed the procurement process for the provision of behaviour analytic support aimed at enhancing their children's residential service and supported accommodation for care-experienced young adults. The procurement, classified under 'Welfare services for children and young people,' was conducted via an open procedure, leading to the awarding of the contract to The Behaviour Clinic. The service is to be delivered in Bridgend, within the UKL17 region.
The contract, which was formalised on 15th April 2025, involves a trauma-informed approach and applied behavioural analysis to support children and young adults in achieving positive developmental outcomes. This initiative underscores the Council's commitment to fostering a supportive environment for vulnerable individuals. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in welfare services with expertise in trauma-informed care and behavioural analysis.
Organisations possessing the requisite experience and competencies can leverage this contract to expand their business within the public sector, particularly in regional projects demanding specialised services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with innovative approaches that align with public sector needs to support community resilience and development may find promising growth opportunities by engaging with such procurement processes.
We have tendered and wish to award the service of a highly experienced trauma informed specialist provider who will work directly with our behaviour analysts, the wider staffing team and occasionally work directly with children and young adults. The provider will support the Council to achieve its vision to provide trauma informed services which are evidence-based through "applied behavioural analysis" into our children's residential and supported accommodation services, to help support children and young adults in an environment where they can make positive changes, where their development can progress and where they can be supported to develop emotional understanding and resilience.
