The Authority intends to award a contract for the Service to the existing provider pursuant to Direct Award Process C under Regulation 9 of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 ("PSR"). This is a notice under Regulation 9 (3) of the Authority's intention to award the contract for the Service as described below to the existing provider. The contract is for the provision of an integrated Public Health Service for pregnant women, children and young people and their families in the City of Sunderland. The Service will be delivered using the core elements of a universal reach, personalised response model and will comprise of the following components: - Provision of antenatal health promoting reviews from 28 weeks of pregnancy. - Provision of all mandatory universal health and wellbeing reviews as prescribed by the Healthy Child Programme at the following points: - Antenatal health promoting review - New baby review - 6-8 week review - 1 year review - 2-2.5 years review - Provision of a 3-4 month contact of a six month contact where families may require planned additional contact and support through Targeted and Specialist Services - Provision of school readiness review - Targeted support for teenage parents via the implementation of the Family Nurse Partnership - Provision of the National Child Measurement Programme at Reception and Year 6 of Primary School - Audiology Screening at Reception year of primary education - Provision of Public Health advice, information and support - Provision of enhanced support to children and young people with higher levels of need - Ensuring children and vulnerable adults are kept safe - Provision of support to schools in developing a full understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of their pupils - Provision of Oral Health Promotion Additional information: This is a notice under Regulation 9 (3) of the PSR of the Authority's intention to award the contract for the Service to the existing provider pursuant to Direct Award Process C. The award of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this proposed award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period.
