Summary, notice description and lot information
The procurement process led by NHS Highland has resulted in the award of a contract for the provision of a Digital Alcohol and Drug Support Service for adults across the Highland region. This procurement falls under the health industry category, with a focus on delivering services and was conducted using an open procedure. NHS Highland, based in Inverness, UK, is the buying organisation, and the awarded contract reflects key partnerships with the Highland Alcohol and Drugs Partnership and funding considerations from the Scottish Government.
The procurement was completed in August 2025, and the associated contract was signed on 2nd July 2025, with an initial duration of one year and the potential for extension up to 24 months, subject to funding availability. This procurement presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in health digital services, particularly those offering innovative solutions in alcohol and drug support. Companies with expertise in digital health services or those seeking to expand their presence in the public health sector would find this contract beneficial for business growth.
The involvement of NHS Highland signifies the importance of having robust, scalable, and sustainable health service solutions to meet regional needs, making it suitable for established health service providers and those looking to enter the market with strong digital propositions.
NHS Highland is working in partnership with and on behalf of the Highland Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (HADP) has agreed to conduct an open procurement exercise to commission Alcohol and Drugs Digital Support Service for adults. This will ensure that future services are put in place in a fair, competitive and transparent manner. It is highlighted that the HADP receives funding from the Scottish Government for this contract. Funding will therefore be subject to the continuing availability of funding from Scottish Government. Any change in the Scottish Government funding will be reflected in an amendment to the contract by means of a Variation to Contract or possible premature termination. Any extensions to the contract will be dependent on the continuation of Scottish Government funding at current levels. Up to further 24 months extensions to the contract may be made at the sole discretion of both NHS Highland and HADP.. The Contract is for One year with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months
