South Lanarkshire Council Social Work Resources is seeking seeking to work in partnership with experienced third sector organisations who can deliver cost effective, outcome-based adult carer and young carer services that deliver on the priorities that are laid out in the Carers Strategy 2023 - 2026. It is anticipated the service provision will cover approximately 300 Adult Carer Referrals per quarter, and 60 Young Carers Referrals per quarter to provide a service for both new referrals and repeat referrals and support Adult Carer Support Plans and Young Carers Statements. Referral numbers could increase as a result of implementation of Care Reform (Scotland) Bill, and Rights to breaks for carers.
At this stage within the Procurement The Council is just scoping the Market to see what provider/providers can provide the level of service we require and meet our needs. The contract period is likely to be 3 years + 3years or 3years +2+1.
