Summary, notice description and lot information
Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust is actively seeking qualified providers to submit tenders for the provision of 'Community Front Rooms' (CFRs) across Dorset. 666 million GBP. The contract period is set at 1080 days, with a potential extension of up to 24 months.
The CFRs are designed to deliver mental health crisis support to adults in Dorset, including both urban and rural areas like Dorchester or Weymouth, North Dorset, Bridport, and Purbeck/North Poole, with an additional CFR dedicated to Bournemouth University students. The procurement will be conducted through an open procedure, and electronic submissions are expected by 12 May 2025. This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social work services, especially those with experience in mental health support and community-based care.
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are particularly encouraged to participate, although selection will be strictly based on the set criteria. Competing for this tender can bolster business presence in the healthcare sector, increase service delivery footprints in multiple rural and urban locations, and provide valuable support services to the community. Businesses adept at delivering crisis mental health support and those with a focus on peer support and lived experience models will find this tender well-suited to their expertise.
Dorset Healthcare is looking for qualified providers to submit tenders for the provision of five so-called "Community Front Rooms" (CFRs) across the county of Dorset. The CFRs have been running for approximately 5 years and provide a valuable local service in the provision of face-to-face 'crisis' out of hours mental health support, to adults 18+ in a self-defined mental health crisis. The model focusses on building community supports and assets, signposting and advice, with an ethos of lived experience and peer support as central. The CFRs ensure that rural populations have fair access to such support, with four of the CFRs to be situated in rural Dorset locations: Dorchester or Weymouth, North Dorset, Bridport, Purbeck/North Poole. This then complements what is available in more urban parts of the county. One of the five CFRs will also be provided to Bournemouth University Students.
