Summary, notice description and lot information
Derbyshire County Council has completed the procurement process for the "CPH100 Provision of Derbyshire NHS Health Check Programme Any Qualified Provider (AQP) From 2025," under the Community health services industry category. This public procurement process utilised a limited procurement method, specifically an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition, as per the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The contract, which will commence on 01 April 2025, operates on a 12-month rolling basis and is focused on face-to-face delivery of NHS Health Checks within the geographical area of Derbyshire, excluding Derby City.
Key suppliers such as The Valleys Medical Partnership, West Hallam Medical Centre, and Oakhill Medical Practice have been awarded the contracts. This tender provides growth opportunities for businesses capable of delivering NHS Health Checks in a face-to-face manner across Derbyshire. It is especially suitable for established community health service providers looking to expand their reach in local healthcare delivery.
The procurement offers potential partnerships and revenue, as well as the chance to contribute significantly to local public health initiatives. Businesses that are adept at managing service costs, such as point-of-care testing (POCT) and consumables, will find this tender especially promising. There is also potential for providers to join the programme throughout its duration, presenting ongoing opportunities for suitable organisations to engage with regional healthcare improvements.
AQP's delivering NHS Health Checks face to face across Derbyshire to the eligible population who meets the NHS Health Check criteria. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract is awarded as per the award criteria of Direct Award 'B' under the PSR regulations. The contact date is 01 April 2025 on a 12-month rolling contract. The set price the Council will pay for a completed Health Check will be PS21.00. Providers using POCT will be required to meet consumable costs at their own expense. Providers using phlebotomy services will be required to meet these costs at their own expense. Providers will require the community tool kit at an approximate cost of PS500 at their own expense. The service is available for AQP's who can deliver Health Checks face to face within Derbyshire to join at any time throughout the duration of the contract term. Original FTS Notice 2024/S 000-038595
