Funded Early Learning and Childcare Places Framework Agreement - Reopening May 2025

The Scottish Borders Council has reopened its framework agreement for "Funded Early Learning and Childcare Places," with a focus on child daycare services, under an open procurement process. This initiative aims to support the provision of childcare for children aged 2, 3, and 4 years. The framework encompasses two primary lots: "Nursery Services" and "Childminder Services."

The council, acting as the contracting authority based in Newtown St Boswells in the UKM91 region, has allocated a contract value of GBP 3 million and adheres to the Light Touch Regime as per the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations. The procurement process status is complete as of 2nd September 2025, with "Childminder Services" lot awarded to Little Wonders Childminding Service, effective from 1st August 2025. The tender, originally launched with a deadline of 30th May 2025, reflects rigorous compliance with national standards and legislation.
