Summary, notice description and lot information
The procurement process for the "GP Local Enhanced Services 2025/26 - Stag Medical Centre" has been completed by the NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. This contract falls within the health services industry category and is specifically aimed at delivering locally enhanced services for the Rotherham population. The contract was awarded under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Regulations 2023 and does not adhere to the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
The procurement method was limited, involving a direct award without prior publication of a call for competition. Key dates include the contract period from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, with the contract having been signed on 10 July 2025. This tender presents opportunities for growth primarily for existing groups of providers that are involved in the delivery of GP services under the local NHS framework.
As it builds on existing contracts, businesses that specialise in healthcare services, particularly those with experience in general-practitioner services, are well-suited to participate. Stag Medical Centre in Rotherham, identified as the supplier, will implement the contract, reinforcing its presence in the medical services sector. Companies with similar profiles that can deliver enhanced services in synergy with general-practice frameworks would benefit from exploring similar opportunities within the NHS's integrated care systems.
The provider is commissioned to deliver locally enhanced services for the Rotherham
population. This contract Award has been made following direct award process B under the
Provider Selection Regime.
These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not
restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the
contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be
delivered by this group of providers (GP) is because they are required to hold a contract via
the GP Framework and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to
enhance the GP Framework contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency
between the two services is paramount.
The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract award is from
01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026. This is an existing service from an existing provider. Additional information: The contract value is unknown. The provider is paid in line with the relevant unit prices for the activity delivered in accordance with the nationally mandated NHS Payment Scheme.
