Summary, notice description and lot information
NHS England is overseeing a planned procurement process titled "Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Services for all ages - Most Suitable Provider Process," under the Health Services category, with an emphasis on delivering services across the North West and North East & Yorkshire regions. This is a planned phase under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), utilizing the Most Suitable Provider Process. The key date for submission of the Expression of Interest is 12pm, midday, on Wednesday 5th November 2025.
Following this, provider assessments will take place from November to December 2025. The procurement is governed by the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and the legal basis referenced is directive 32014L0024. NHS England aims to allocate contracts for specialized HBOT services, particularly focused on treating decompression illness and gas embolism.
This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specializing in health services, particularly those with expertise in hyperbaric medicine and capacity for operational scale across the specified UK regions. Companies with robust networks and innovation in delivering health interventions are likely to thrive in this bid, particularly if they can demonstrate quality, value, and integration within the regional healthcare infrastructure. Facilities with capabilities to offer 24/7 access to specialized clinical assessments and treatments and those involved in research and education related to hyperbaric therapy will find this tender particularly suitable.
Successful bidders will be those who can contribute to reducing health inequalities and enhancing service sustainability through collaboration and social value initiatives. Potential partners are encouraged to engage with NHS England's e-Tendering portal to submit their proposals and explore the opportunities for collaboration and growth within the healthcare sector.
