Summary, notice description and lot information
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly issued a tender for "Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA) Services," classified under counselling services (CPV code 85312320). The procurement aimed to enhance support for sexual violence victims through a multi-agency collaboration, including Victim Support, Local Authorities, and the NHS. The procurement process followed an open procedure with the bid submission ending on February 26, 2024.
The contract, valued at £4,500,000, was awarded on June 4, 2024, to The Women's Centre Cornwall, based in Bodmin, UK. The project aims to provide trauma-informed, individualised support packages for victims of sexual violence in the UKK region. This tender represents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in counselling and community health services to partner with local authorities and contribute to a vital social cause.
Businesses experienced in delivering high-quality support services, particularly those adept in working with various community groups, including children, marginalised, and hidden communities, will find this tender a valuable growth opportunity. Given the need for a holistic, trauma-informed approach, organisations capable of offering comprehensive support mechanisms will be best suited to compete in this procurement process. By participating, businesses can enhance their community impact while expanding their service portfolio.
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (in collaboration with a number of key partners and represents) have an ambition to improve the system of support for victims of sexual violence. Our aspiration is that through a multi-agency partnership approach (OPCC, Victim Support, Local Authorities and NHS) we will develop mechanisms through which victims of sexual violence, regardless of whether they report to the police, will receive a trauma informed, individualised package of support to help them address their trauma, cope, and recover from their experiences.
