Summary, notice description and lot information
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, through 2gether Support Solutions, is planning to award a contract under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) for the provision of insourced clinical services, specifically Breast Imaging and Reporting services. This opportunity, classified under health services (CPV code 85100000), aims to utilise Breast Radiologists and, where necessary, Breast Radiographers and Radiology Nurses. The services will be provided on-site at either Kent and Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury or Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, Kent.
The procurement is at the planning stage, with a deadline for expression of interest set for 12:00 on 9th October 2025, and future notices expected on 10th October 2025. This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in medical and health services, particularly those with competencies in breast imaging and reporting. The PSR allows the Trust to select the most suitable provider without a competitive exercise, offering an accessible route for qualified providers already on NHS England accredited frameworks, such as the NHS Shared Business Services’ Insourcing of Clinical Services framework.
With a budget of £450,000, this contract can provide substantial business growth for medical service firms capable of delivering comprehensive breast imaging services. The opportunity is best suited to organisations with proven experience and expertise in medical specialist services and a willingness to engage with the NHS procurement process through the Atamis Electronic Sourcing system.
