Summary, notice description and lot information
Ofsted is planning a procurement process for "Medical Screening of Childcare Providers" under the industry category of services provided by medical personnel (CPV 85141000). The process is currently in the planning stage, with a focus on pre-market engagement. Interested suppliers are invited to express their interest and provide feedback on the delivery and costs of medical screening services.
Key dates include the deadline for expressions of interest, which is by midday on Friday, 21 February 2025. The engagement will take place in the UK, with Ofsted ensuring compliance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in medical services, particularly those with expertise in healthcare assessments and childcare.
By participating, businesses can influence the future procurement process and potentially secure a substantial contract valued at £700,000. Companies experienced in providing evidence-based medical recommendations will be well-placed to compete. This market engagement phase allows businesses to showcase their capabilities, network with key stakeholders, and gain insights that could give them a competitive edge in subsequent tendering phases.
Ofsted seeks views from the market on how medical screening of childcare providers can be delivered more effectively, whilst ensuring that medical recommendations remain sound and evidence based. Ofsted would also like to understand the indicative costs of providing the service. Please refer to the 'Supporting Information on Ofsted's Medical Screening of Childcare Providers' document (attached) for further information and the questions that Ofsted would like suppliers to respond to. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is issued solely for the purpose of conducting supplier pre-market engagement on Ofsted's requirement for medical screening of childcare oroviders. While we strongly advise anyone who has an interest in being considered as a potential supplier to engage with this exercise, participation or non-participation in the market engagement exercise shall not prevent any supplier participating in a potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of the market engagement exercise shall place any supplier at an advantage in a potential procurement process. Interested parties will not be prejudiced or advantaged by any response (or lack thereof) to this PIN and a response to this PIN, does not guarantee any invitation to participate in any future procurement. Ofsted is committed to ensuring fairness, openness and transparency, and to following the Public Contract Regulations 2015. Participation in the market engagement exercise will be at each organisation's own cost. No expense in responding to this market engagement exercise will be reimbursed by Ofsted. No decision has been taken on the route to market for this opportunity. Ofsted reserves the right to not proceed to tender. Any requests for clarification relating to this exercise must be communicated via the Q&A facility on the MyTenders e-procurement portal (www.mytenders.co.uk). Responses to requests for clarification will then be communicated back to all interested suppliers. Expressions of interest in this market engagement process should be sent via the Q&A facility on the MyTenders e-procurement portal (www.mytenders.co.uk) by midday on Friday 21 February 2025.
