Summary, notice description and lot information
NHS England has concluded the procurement process for the National Staff Mental Health Support Service, a significant contract aimed at providing mental health services to healthcare staff across England. Under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, the contract was awarded to The Hurley Clinic Partnership, recognised as the Hurley Group, following a competitive open procedure. With an initial term of 12 months and valued at approximately £11 million per annum, the contract has the potential to be extended up to three years, reaching a total value of about £33 million.
The service, classified under the health services category, aims to bridge the gap between professional and regulatory environments and the mental health needs of clinicians and healthcare professionals, providing confidential national-level support. Key partners will collaborate with NHS England throughout the contract period to maximise service value. This contract represents a meaningful opportunity for businesses involved in providing health services, particularly those with a focus on mental health.
Facilities offering innovative, integrated, and sustainable solutions can benefit greatly, with chances to enhance social value and reduce health inequalities. Given the £33 million potential contract value, large-scale organisations capable of operating nationwide and managing complex collaborative projects would be well-suited to such tender opportunities. Furthermore, as The Hurley Group masters this contract, similar entities in the sector should remain vigilant for upcoming tenders to expand their business and partake in national initiatives contributing to healthcare improvements.
