Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB) has completed the award stage for the "Partnerships for Inclusion in Neurodiversity in Schools Year 2 (PINS2)" project. The procurement falls under the category of “Miscellaneous health services” and aims to contract a delivery provider to manage and expand the PINS project across schools. The contract, valued at £179,000, is set for a 12-month period between 1st September 2025 and 31st March 2026.
The procurement was conducted as a limited award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The project's location is focused within the UKK12 region and its main goal is to effectively enhance inclusive environments for neurodivergent pupils. This tender presents significant opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises in the project management and educational consultancy fields, particularly those experienced in neurodiversity and inclusive education practices.
The awarded contractor, Bristol Parent Carer, an SME, highlights the tender's potential for businesses capable of innovative engagement in bridging health and educational initiatives. Expanding to additional primary schools offers growth potential for businesses focusing on supporting educational improvements and enhancing partnerships within school settings across the region.
BNSSG ICB is looking to contract a project management and delivery provider to lead, administer and deliver the PINS project in total including school selection, school liaison, support package delivery, monitoring and reporting and evaluation. The PINS Programme tests an innovative model for the effective and efficient deployment of health and education workforces, focusing on supporting neurodivergent pupils. This cohort is a fast-growing group of children likely to benefit from more inclusive mainstream environments. An equally important strand of the PINS Programme is to strengthen parent carer and school partnerships in mainstream education settings. BNSSG delivered a PINS project in FY 2024-25 and has the opportunity to expand the offer to 30 additional primary schools in our area. In addition, support will be offered to the existing 45 schools involved in that previous PINS project in FY 2024-25, to help them to embed their learning and practice improvements. Contract value PS179,000 for a 12-month contract and the necessity for requirements to be delivered between 1st September 2025 and 31st March 2026. F01: Prior information notice: 2025/S 000-029865 This exercise is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner.
