Summary, notice description and lot information
NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) has awarded a GP Locally Commissioned Services Contract to Jaunty Springs Health Centre. This procurement falls under the Health care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, outside the scope of the Procurement Act 2023 Regulations. The contract, located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, involves general-practitioner services and is categorised under the services industry.
The process used a limited procurement method without prior publication, culminating in an award on 1st April 2025. The contract period extends from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026. The decision to award was made in July 2024, ensuring no conflicts of interest.
This tender signifies opportunities for GP practices interested in providing locally commissioned services in collaboration with existing frameworks like the GP Framework. While the contract was awarded through a direct award process, businesses involved in healthcare services, particularly those with small or medium enterprise (SME) status, may find prospects to enhance service delivery under such commissioning models. Such opportunities could pave the way for growth by meeting local price-based activity requirements and aligning with regional healthcare service delivery mandates.
This contract Award has been made following direct award process A of the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (GP) is because they are required to hold a contract via the GP Framework and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the GP Framework contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract will be from 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026
