Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has concluded the contract awarding process for GP Locally Commissioned Services at Nethergreen Surgery in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This process, falling under the Health care Services Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023, concluded with the contract award to Nethergreen Surgery effective from 1st April 2025 until 31st March 2026. The procurement was executed through a limited procurement method without prior publication, adhering to regulations that do not apply the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 Regulations.
The award criteria included quality aspects favouring the existing provider group, with the final decision to award made by the Sheffield Senior Management and Leadership Teams as of July 2024. For businesses seeking growth opportunities, participation in contracts that enhance existing service frameworks such as the GP Framework and Locally Commissioned Services represents a strategic advantage. Firms already holding GP Framework contracts and those capable of integrating additional services may find similar opportunities particularly beneficial.
This procurement specifically targets providers who meet the stringent contract and specification criteria, allowing for service delivery enhancements within a structured network. Businesses with expertise in health services, particularly SMEs in South Yorkshire, should consider exploring these integrated service delivery opportunities to leverage local pricing models and activity-based compensation.
This contract Award has been made following direct award process A of the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (GP) is because they are required to hold a contract via the GP Framework and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the GP Framework contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract will be from 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026
