Summary, notice description and lot information
The procurement process, initiated by the NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, pertains to the "NHS South Yorkshire ICB - GP Locally Commissioned Services Contract" at Tramways Medical Centre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The procurement was conducted under the Provider Selection Regime for general-practitioner services, classified within the health services industry. The process was a limited procurement method completed without prior publication of a call for competition.
The contract is active, starting from 1st April 2025 and ending on 31st March 2026. The healthcare service contract was awarded following a direct award procedure with the supplier being Tramways Medical Centre, who will be delivering services according to the GP Framework interdependent requirements. This tender creates opportunities for existing general practice groups that are part of the GP Framework and are looking to expand their locally commissioned services.
It is especially advantageous for those providers able to deliver integrated services consistent with GP contractual commitments. Given the requirement for interconnected service delivery within the GP Framework, businesses already operating within this framework, particularly small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the healthcare sector, would be well-suited to meet the contract specifications, ensuring seamless integration and growth in their service offerings.
This contract Award has been made following direct award process A of the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (GP) is because they are required to hold a contract via the GP Framework and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the GP Framework contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract will be from 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026
