Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust has issued a contract for the provision of out-of-hours crisis services in Liverpool, aimed at offering a safe place for individuals experiencing mental health crises. The procurement is classified under the health and social work services category (CPV: 85000000) and falls under the services procurement category. The contract, valued at £254,161, was awarded to Creative Support Limited for a period starting from 01 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, with an option to extend for an additional two years.
This direct award follows the Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023, bypassing the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This tender presents an opportunity for businesses specialising in mental health and social services to explore potential collaborative ventures or subcontracting opportunities with Creative Support Limited. Companies with expertise in providing crisis intervention and support services would be well-suited to compete for related future contracts.
This procurement process highlights the key role of established providers in delivering consistent, high-quality services and opens avenues for SMEs to align with primary contractors to enhance service delivery outcomes in the health sector.
