Summary, notice description and lot information
The London Borough of Bromley is actively seeking tenders for the provision of "Parent & Baby Exercise - Early Intervention Services for Parents and Their Children," to be delivered across six Children and Family Centres and related venues. This procurement is at the tender stage and focuses on enhancing health and wellbeing through sessions like yoga, dance, and stretching, specifically targeting identified needs within the Bromley area. The industry category is health and social work services, and the process follows an open, below-threshold competition under the light-touch regime.
The submission deadline for this tender is set for 29 September 2025, with a contract commencement expected on 1 April 2026. The role of the buying organisation is classified under sub-central government public authority, pointing to substantial local government involvement. This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in health and wellness services, particularly those that can cater to early intervention and public health priorities.
Given its focus on non-duplicative statutory provisions, organisations with innovative, complementary service offerings stand in good stead. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, as their localised service capabilities and adaptability to changing community needs align well with the tender requirements. The contract structure allows for initial one-year implementation with potential extensions, based on annual performance evaluations, making it an attractive prospect for businesses looking to establish or expand their presence in the public health domain within Bromley.
It is anticipated that the Contract will commence on 01 April 2026 and be for an initial period of 1 year, with an option to extend on the same terms and conditions for up to 3 years on a 1+1+1+1 basis. The rationale for a contract award of 1+1+1+1 is due to the nature of the service; we require suppliers to be able to deliver specialised services locally across the borough and to be able to fully meet the changing needs of the early intervention and Public Health priorities and most importantly, the needs of the local community and the published priorities, and other Bromley council strategies. All provision will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure activities/services remain responsive and are continuing to meet the needs of our local community.
