Summary, notice description and lot information
The Regional Business Services Organisation, Procurement and Logistics Service (BSO PaLS), is currently in the tender stage for a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) aimed at procuring both disposable and reusable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and related products. The opportunity is specifically intended for the public sectors across Northern Ireland, as governed by the Northern Ireland Public Procurement Policy (NIPPP). The tender involves medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products, with procurement covering various locations throughout Northern Ireland.
Key details include a substantial budget of £5,000,000,000 and a tender period end date scheduled for 31st January 2029, applied under a restricted procurement procedure and selective method. This initiative updates and extends a DPS originally established in 2020. This procurement initiative offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in PPE and associated products, particularly those with capabilities in supplying diverse medical consumables and safety equipment.
Businesses involved in occupational clothing, gas-therapy devices, and safety consultancy or training will find competitive prospects here. With no anticipated limit on the number of qualifying suppliers for the DPS, the opportunity is well-suited for large-scale producers and distributors who can meet the dynamic and potentially evolving product requirements over several years. The involvement in a substantial private and public sector project could establish long-term business relationships and provide sustained revenue streams through recurring contract renewals.
