Summary, notice description and lot information
NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board is the contracting authority for a recently updated tender concerning the Primary Medical Services Special Allocation Scheme in North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire. This tender falls under the health services category, aiming to deliver general-practitioner services through a 'Most Suitable Provider' selection process in accordance with The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The relevant procurement stage is Tender Update, following a formal contract award, which runs from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2028, with a potential extension for an additional two years.
The contract's estimated value is £255,000, and the procurement was conducted without prior publication of a call for competition, targeting services that ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care. This opportunity supports business growth for healthcare providers capable of demonstrating robust delivery of primary care medical services, particularly suitable for businesses already holding contracts like APMS, GMS, or PMS within the specified regions. Ideal competitors are those with a valid CQC registration and experienced in patient rehabilitation to enable re-registration with General Practice.
The procurement process emphasises quality of care, service integration, and social value, appealing to providers eager to enhance services, reduce health inequalities, and strengthen collaboration across the health system. As this is an established service with a current provider in place, it offers a stable environment for businesses meeting the criteria to maintain or expand their service offerings.
