Provision of Womens Health Plan Network Services

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership-Procurement Services, hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust, has been awarded a contract for the provision of Women's Health Plan Network Services. This initiative, funded by the Welsh Government, focuses on enhancing women's health services across Swansea Bay, specifically targeting the Neath Port Talbot area. The procurement stage is complete, with the contract signed on 1st September 2025.

This is a service-based procurement under a limited method, conducted without prior publication due to technical constraints. The project aims to develop the Swansea Bay Women’s Voices Forum and integrate effective support mechanisms for women's health networks. This tender presents significant opportunities for organisations specialising in healthcare networks, consultancy, and community health services.

With a focus on developing and mapping networks and fostering collaboration in less developed areas, businesses that excel in co-production and community engagement will find significant growth prospects. Given the project’s focus on utilizing technical expertise and absence of competition, large organisations with specialised capabilities in health consultancy and government project execution stand in a favourable position to benefit from participation. While the contract was awarded to Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Service, similar entities would be well-placed for future collaborations or extensions associated with such government initiatives.
