Short Breaks for Children and Young People with Disabilities and their Families

Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council is offering a framework for the provision of short breaks for children and young people with disabilities and their families. This framework, which falls under the health and social work services category, is located in the UKC12 region and will be re-opened every three months from April 2024. The re-openings will provide continuous opportunities for new applications, with the next closing date confirmed upon submission via the e-tender system.

The procurement process is in the award stage, and the framework includes four lots: Clubs, Individual Support Services, Overnight Support Away from Home, and Services in the Community. This tender offers significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social work services. With an open procurement method, it allows a wide array of service providers to apply, especially those providing tailored support services, community activities, and overnight care.

SME businesses such as Bykare Services LTD, Citrine Healthcare Limited, and TS Healthcare Ltd have already been awarded contracts, indicating the framework's inclusivity towards smaller enterprises.
