Summary, notice description and lot information
The Suffolk Community Connector Service (SCCS) procurement process is led by the NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board, based in Ipswich, UK. This contract, valued at approximately £333,536, focuses on providing health services within the Ipswich and East Suffolk and West Suffolk Alliance areas. The service aims to create an alternative community support system to the existing secondary care provisions.
The procurement has reached the award stage under the Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023, with the contract set to begin on 1st July 2025 and run until 31st March 2027. The direct awarding process did not require prior publication of a competition call, aligning with the Health Care Services regulations. This tender presents substantial opportunities for existing providers in the health services sector to enhance their footprint by integrating virtual and face-to-face support within community settings.
The contract emphasises quality, value, and innovation, making it ideal for SMEs like Anglia Care Trust, which has secured the contract. Businesses that excel in delivering integrated care and sustainability in health services will find this an excellent opportunity for expansion, particularly if they can effectively collaborate and introduce additional complementary services during the contract term.
Key objectives of the service include: * to offer virtual support to a range of people alongside face-to-face support. * for individuals to access support, goal focused planning and activities in their local community. * encourage people from 18+ to work towards a specific goal or receive impartial support and information. * offer to people who have been discharged by secondary care as part of their discharge plan. * offer to people who have greater need than a primary care offer. * designed to be in place to compliment psychological therapies through Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) (Suffolk Wellbeing Service: NSFT). * help introduce other additional support through a variety of voluntary and mental health groups. The Contract was previously commissioned for 3 years (including 6m extension) this proposal aligns the contract to expire when the other crisis alternative contracts end and can be reprocured following a full service review. Contract will run from 1st July 2025 to 31st March 2027 with no option to extend.
