Summary, notice description and lot information
Derry City and Strabane District Council aimed to procure services for the development and delivery of child-friendly mapping within eight local community growth partnership board areas through an open procedure. The project was classified under administrative social services and intended to involve project management, design, and delivery of workshops, focusing on child rights mapping and creative voice workshops. However, this procurement process, initiated as a tender on 17th April 2025, was ultimately unsuccessful.
Details regarding the submission process and requirements were provided alongside adherence to access and inclusion best practice guidelines. The tender presented significant opportunities for businesses specialising in project management, creative design, and community engagement. Companies with expertise in child rights advocacy, graphic design, and social work could have leveraged their skills to produce impactful community maps, participating in systemic change efforts.
Although the tender was unsuccessful, similar future opportunities could benefit businesses committed to enhancing local community services and fostering inclusive environments for children and young people. This procurement initiative illustrates the Council's dedication to collaborative approaches and continuous community improvements.
Derry City and Strabane District Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderer for the Development and Delivery of Child Friendly Mapping within Eight Local Community Growth Partnership Board Areas. Council seeks submissions for the project management, design and delivery of child rights mapping workshops, structured creative voice workshops to create bespoke illustrative artwork for child friendly community maps and pilot approaches with Local Growth Partnerships to hear the voice of children and young people. The successful applicant(s) will liaise with Council Officers to identify and agree content which aligns with a Child Rights Based Approach (CRBA). As this is a new approach to creating systemic change within a localised system there is time and budget built in for effective exploration, reflection and review. The outcome/ impact and influence that the children and young people voices have is as important as the design and delivery. It is important that all partners are aligned and bought into the process to ensure the maps are then used on an ongoing basis for child rights mapping exercises. Artwork and associated materials should meet access and inclusion best practice guidelines. This piece of work includes project management, creation and delivery of workshops, design and print management. Your submission must be submitted via etendersNI, via this CFT. No other method of submissions will be accepted. Please refer to the CfT documents for further detail.
