The NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract for Termination of Pregnancy Services to the British Pregnancy Advisory Service. The contract became effective on the 2nd of May 2025, following a standstill period from the 9th to the 21st of April 2025.
It spans one year starting from the 1st of April 2025, with the possibility of a one-year extension, making the total potential value £1,941,702 should the extension be utilised. As per the PSR direct award process C requirements, the existing provider is satisfying the existing contract and HWE ICB are satisfied that the incumbent Provider is likely to satisfy the new contract.
The proposed contracting arrangements are not changing from the existing contract.
The provider delivers Termination of Pregnancy Services in the Hertfordshire region.<br/>HWE ICB intend to award a contract to the existing provider following Direct Award Process C. <br/>The contract will be a one year plus optional one year extension. The value of the contract is PS970,851 for 2025-26 and if the contract extension is enacted the value will be PS970,851 for 2026-27. These values may be subject to change as detailed in section VI.3.
