Summary, notice description and lot information
Bridgend County Borough Council has completed a procurement process to secure a specialist provider for the provision of Behaviour Analytic support to the Council's children’s residential service and supported accommodation for young adults who are care-experienced. The procurement was conducted using an open procedure, classified under the "Health" and "Housing and community amenities" industry categories, with the main location being Bridgend (region UKL17). The procurement process involved multiple stages, culminating in an award and contract signing on 15 April 2025, valued at £234,000.
The process aimed to identify a trauma-informed specialist capable of evidence-based support through applied behaviour analysis to enhance services for children and young adults. This tender offers opportunities for businesses in the health and social services sector, particularly those with expertise in trauma-informed approaches and behaviour analysis. Smaller enterprises specialising in behavioural support could significantly benefit from such a contract, allowing them to enhance their profile and network within the public sector.
The successful engagement with Bridgend County Borough Council can provide a robust platform for business growth, fostering partnerships and expanding service provision capabilities in regional markets.
We have tendered and wish to award the service of a highly experienced trauma informed specialist provider who will work directly with our behaviour analysts, the wider staffing team and occasionally work directly with children and young adults. The provider will support the Council to achieve its vision to provide trauma informed services which are evidence-based through "applied behavioural analysis" into our children's residential and supported accommodation services, to help support children and young adults in an environment where they can make positive changes, where their development can progress and where they can be supported to develop emotional understanding and resilience.
