Summary, notice description and lot information
Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council (Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC) is inviting applications for the ‘Youth and Play Services Approved List (Stage 2)’. This procurement process, following the 'Light Touch Regime', aims to qualify service providers for delivering play and youth opportunities across the county borough. The procurement is divided into two lots: Lot 1 for Children and Young People (CYP) aged 5 to 14, and Lot 2 for CYP aged 11 to 25.
Providers are required to submit an application to become part of the approved list, which will be open for a two-year initial period, with options for annual extensions. The deadline for the current extension is 19 July 2026. The procurement is being executed through an open procedure, where qualified applicants will be added to the list.
The procurement falls under the services category, with primary locations in the UK region UKL15. This tender offers an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in youth and play services to expand their operations within the Rhondda Cynon Taf area. The approved list system allows continuous entry for potential providers, thereby creating ongoing business opportunities.
Organisations proficient in delivering innovative, high-quality play and youth services tailored to the needs of young people will find this opportunity particularly suitable. Businesses that can provide bilingual offerings, in both Welsh and English, will be well positioned to meet the Council’s priorities. Ensuring highly engaging and developmental experiences for children and young people, successful providers can significantly contribute to community development, fostering long-term cooperative relationships with the local authority and other agencies.
