Essex County Council has successfully completed a tender process for the provision of Dementia Support Services, with a focus on delivering specialist information, advice, and guidance in local communities across the Essex County area. This contract engages health and social care service providers to support person-centred care for individuals living with dementia and their families. The award, announced on 14th July 2025, under an open procedure, went to the Alzheimer's Society, valued at £17 million with a gross amount of £20.4 million.

The contract is set to commence on 1st October 2025 and run until 30th September 2028, offering a framework with the possibility of additional call-offs by Essex County Council or the NHS for specific needs-led projects in the UKH3 region.
