Summary, notice description and lot information
The procurement process spearheaded by Kirklees Council, in collaboration with the Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group and North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group, has established a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of domiciliary care services. This exercise, titled "Further Competitions from the DPS for the provision of Domiciliary Care July to Sep 2025," focuses on health and social work services within the Kirklees region, classified under the CPV code 85000000. The tender has reached the award stage, with contracts signed on 30th September 2025, following a restricted procedure procurement method.
The contracting authority implemented a minimum ten-day standstill period before finalising the contracts to allow for any necessary debriefings. This tender presents substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for those in the health and social care sector. Companies with expertise in delivering personal care and support in home settings, particularly those catering to adults aged 18 and over with various care needs, would find this opportunity well-suited.
The inclusion of multiple suppliers in this contract phase highlights the competitive nature of the procurement, opening doors for a diverse range of businesses to participate and expand their service offerings across the Kirklees area.
The Council and ICB are responsible for arranging domiciliary care services to adults aged 18 and over, who have been assessed to meet the Councils eligibility criteria or eligibility for NHS Continuing Healthcare or 117 Aftercare. This includes (but is not limited to) adults who have assessed care and support needs associated with older age, sensory impairment, learning disability, physical disability, physical ill health, chaotic lifestyles, substance misuse and mental illness including dementia. There are two categories within this DPS, to provide domiciliary care services. Within each category there will be multiple Providers who will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of domiciliary care packages allocated to them through further competition. This is the award information for Category one further competitions July 2025 - Sep 2025
