Summary, notice description and lot information
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has commissioned a procurement process titled "GGC0920 Oral Health Distribution," under the category of services, aimed at enhancing children's oral health across Glasgow under the Childsmile programme. This initiative involves the receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of oral health products. The procurement follows an open procedure, and the contract was awarded to Storage UK Ltd.
The contracting authority has set a timeline from 17 April 2025 to 16 April 2030, with a contract value of £280,987. Located in Glasgow, the main delivery area specified is UKM82. This process is currently at the contract award stage, with a modification notice being the latest update as of 20 May 2025.
This tender represents substantial opportunities for businesses involved in the distribution and management of oral health products, particularly small and medium enterprises like Storage UK Ltd, which successfully secured the contract. Companies with expertise in logistics, supply chain, and health service support would find this tender particularly suited for their operations, given the expected volume of activity supporting 13,000 children annually. Involvement in such a procurement initiative can bolster a firm's portfolio, potentially opening doors for further business opportunities with public health organisations.
Businesses that are familiar with or can provide robust compliance with procurement specifications, including health and safety standards and electronic invoicing, will be well-suited for similar future tenders.
