***This advert is for market engagement only***<br/><br/>The commissioner has published this Prior Information Notice to undertake market engagement for a future NHS Kent and Medway Adult Mental Health Conveyance Service and s136 Sit and Wait Service .<br/> <br/>The Commissioner intends to hold a virtual market engagement event, which will provide an opportunity for interested providers to understand the proposed service model, contract structure, and future commissioning intentions.<br/> <br/>This event will be the formal opportunity for providers interested in delivering the Adult Mental Health Conveyance Service and s136 Sit and Wait Service in Kent and Medway to hear about the proposed contracting model, including an anticipated contract term of three years with the option to extend for up to a further two years. The indicative financial envelope and approach to activity and workforce assumptions will be discussed during the event.<br/><br/>The key objectives of any subsequent Provider Selection Process are:<br/>* To facilitate the award of a contract for the delivery of an Adult Mental Health Conveyance Service and s136 Sit and Wait Service. <br/>* Provide safe, effective, and least restrictive conveyance for a defined cohort of adults requiring specialist mental health transport.<br/>* Ensure individuals detained under a Section 136 of the Mental Health Act are supervised by appropriately trained staff, enabling the timely handover from police where an Emergency Department is used as a Health-Based Place of Safety.<br/>* The anticipated contract term will be 3-years with the option to extend for up to a further 2-years.<br/><br/>The virtual market engagement event will take place between 11:30am and 12:30am on Wednesday 11th March 2026.<br/><br/>Upon registration and completion of the online questionnaire, a link to the virtual meeting will be provided.<br/><br/>Any and all information/documents that are made available as part of this engagement exercise is draft and subject to change. All timeframes are indicative and may also be subject to change.<br/><br/>Please note, this Prior Information Notice relates to a service/contract in scope of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR).
