Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board is currently in the planning stages of a procurement process aimed at establishing two Crisis Recovery Houses in Medway and Thanet. The procurement will fall under the services category with a focus on health services, specifically to support individuals experiencing mental health or psychological crises. This initiative seeks to offer a community-based alternative to traditional clinical settings in collaboration with health and social care teams.
Although the contract has been planned with a potential duration of three years and an extension option of up to two years, it remains subject to a pre-market engagement phase. Notable upcoming events include a virtual market engagement session on 8th January 2026, with a future notice date set for 16th February 2026. This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses operating in the health services sector, particularly those experienced in crisis intervention and psychosocial support services.
Organisations can potentially benefit from engaging in the early phases of this procurement process by providing input into finalising the financial and service models. This opportunity aligns with providers capable of delivering safety-oriented, therapeutic environments and willing to work closely with health and care systems. Interested parties are encouraged to participate in the market engagement event and complete the necessary registration and questionnaire steps by the deadline of 5th January 2026, establishing connections in a strategic local health initiative.
