Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board is planning a procurement process titled "Kent and Medway Individualised Placement and Support Market Engagement," which falls under the health services category. The process is currently in the planning stage and pertains to the services procurement category. Primarily catering to the regions UKJ4 and UKJ41, this procurement initiative is targeted at improving support services for adults with severe mental illness through employment integration.
A virtual market engagement event is scheduled between 09:30 and 10:30 on 26th June 2025, with a registration deadline of 24th June 2025. The procurement process promises an initial contract term of three years, with a potential extension of two years, and is underpinned by a legal basis identified by CELEX Code 32014L0024. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health services and employment support to expand their operations and establish long-term contracts with the NHS.
Providers with a focus on individualised care, particularly those experienced in integrating healthcare and employment services, will find this opportunity highly beneficial. The precise procurement methodology and financial terms will be outlined during the engagement event, making it essential for interested businesses to participate to leverage potential growth and foster collaboration with a public body governed by law. This initiative invites businesses to contribute to a service that combines job placement with health team integration, aligning with national mandates and fidelity models.

IPS offers intensive, individually tailored support to help people to choose and find the right job, with ongoing support for the employer and employee to help ensure the person keeps their job.

IPS uses a personalised and strength-based approach to support people to find a job of their choosing and aims to help people find paid jobs within just weeks of being referred to the service and will continue to work with both employer and employee to sustain the job placement for as long as possible, or to help the client into a different job.

IPS directly tackles the lack of integration of healthcare and employment services and the disconnection of different specialists by integrating employment specialists into health teams.
It is based on eight evidenced based principles.
