Summary, notice description and lot information
The procurement process involves Kent County Council seeking to contract services for fitting, monitoring, checking, and removing long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) devices within primary care settings across Kent. The procurement, classified under "Community health services," follows a restricted procedure under the Provider Selection Regime and is at the "tender" stage. Notably, the tender is active and has a significant procurement value of £900,000.
The key dates include the start on 7th October 2025 and the contract period ending on 30th November 2025, with the submission deadline extending to 26th November 2026. The procurement is specifically for the regional market in Kent, supported by local authority Kent County Council, and is intended for professionals with competence in LARC procedures in alignment with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and British Association for Sexual Health and HIV standards. This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses in the health services sector, particularly those specialising in community healthcare and certified in LARC procedures.
Companies with experience in providing sexual and reproductive healthcare in localised settings like Kent, capable of maintaining the competency standards specified by relevant healthcare faculties, would find this tender suitable for growth and expansion. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, although all submissions will be critically assessed based on the set procurement criteria. Engaging in this tender could enhance a business's portfolio in healthcare service delivery, offering an extended service reach across the strategic and populated area of Kent.
