Summary, notice description and lot information
The Scottish Government is initiating a procurement process to develop a Veterans Mental Health & Wellbeing Pathway, as part of its commitment to support veterans across Scotland. The procurement is in the planning stage, focusing on "General public services" within the UKM region, specifically Scotland. This initiative aims to gather insights and information from industry and market spaces relevant to the service requirements.
Suppliers have until 10th February 2026 to submit responses to a Request for Information (RFI), with future notice communications expected by 16th March 2026. The procurement method underscores collaboration, as regional spokes need to coordinate local support for veterans while ensuring digital therapeutic interventions are clinically supported. This tender presents a significant growth opportunity, particularly for businesses specialising in healthcare services, digital therapeutics, or those familiar with military life.
Companies capable of delivering regional support infrastructures collaboratively with third-sector and statutory providers are well-suited for this tender. Such partnerships can enhance the tailored support offered to veterans, fostering an equitable service environment across Scotland. By aligning with NHS Scotland's regional strategy, businesses can position themselves as pivotal players in improving veterans' mental health and wellbeing services, driving both strategic value and social impact.
The intention is that this procurement would cover the broad requirements to provide services to enable the operation of the regional spokes and in turn support the wider objectives of the veterans mental health and wellbeing pathway. The contract would be to cover services across Scotland but will recognise the planned vision for NHS Scotland to move to a subnational structure, split into 2 regions. We anticipate that the provider of the regional spoke would be required to collaborate with existing third sector and statutory providers of services to ensure that veterans can receive the tailored care and support they need from the most appropriate provider.
