Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has completed the procurement process for the "GP Locally Commissioned Services Contract" at the Rustlings Road Medical Centre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This contract falls under the services category, specifically general-practitioner services, and was procured through a limited process without prior publication of a call for competition due to its Provider Selection Regime status. The decision to award this contract, active from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026, was made in July 2024 by the Sheffield Senior and Leadership Management Teams.
00 GBP, was made directly to the Rustlings Road Medical Centre, with the procurement adhering to the Health care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. This tender presents significant opportunities for healthcare businesses, particularly those involved in GP services, to enhance their service offerings by aligning with the NHS framework for locally commissioned services. It is notably pertinent for existing GP providers bound under the GP Framework, who can deliver these services without restriction, provided they comply with the contract specifications.
With the provider remunerated based on local activity pricing, companies well-suited to compete are those already embedded within the NHS service delivery network or those with capacity to integrate seamlessly into the complex interdependencies of service provision outlined in this tender. This reinforces the importance of having robust, established relationships within the NHS framework to capitalise on such direct award opportunities.
This contract Award has been made following direct award process A of the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (GP) is because they are required to hold a contract via the GP Framework and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the GP Framework contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract will be from 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026
