Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is conducting a planning phase for a future Any Qualified Provider (AQP) contract involving personalised home care services for adults, focusing on Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and end-of-life care. This process is aimed at developing a service specification through market engagement, and not yet a call for competition. Providers are invited to register their interest and contribute to shaping the specifications by participating in surveys and workshops.
Evalucom will facilitate this collaborative effort, with the final specification planned for approval by the ICB. This procurement focuses on home medical treatment services identified under the CPV category 85141210, situated in the region UKJ2, with subsequent competitive processes anticipated to begin after June 2026. This tender offers a distinctive growth opportunity for businesses within the healthcare sector, especially those specialising in home care services.
Providers well-versed in comprehensive adult care, including specialist and non-specialist capabilities, would find this procurement beneficial. Engaging in this market development process allows businesses to influence the specification of future services, ensuring alignment with local healthcare needs and industry standards. By actively participating, companies can position themselves favourably for the competitive process expected to follow, paving the way for multi-provider awards under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) competitive process, enhancing service delivery while expanding their operational scope in Sussex.
NHS Sussex ICB will establish an AQP contract for adult AACC home care, covering: 1. Fast Track (end-of-life) care; and 2. specialist and non-specialist care. Evalucom, on behalf of NHS Sussex ICB, will coordinate a collaborative process bringing together commissioners, clinicians and providers to draft a service specification within the NHS Standard Contract. The approach aims to capture local knowledge and align expectations. The ICB will approve the final version. What we're asking providers to do now 1. Complete the survey to register interest, join the mailing list and share initial priorities: https://forms.office.com/e/VyCq8xA2Ua. 2. Join optional online workshops to discuss key topics (e.g. package referral and mobilisation, service scope and outcomes, EoL/FT pathway interfaces, quality reporting and pricing structure). 3. Comment on the draft specification when circulated. What comes next Once the specification is agreed, the ICB intends to run a multi-provider award under the PSR Competitive Process via a separate Contract Notice. Pricing, quality requirements and evaluation criteria will be set out in the tender documentation. No minimum volumes are guaranteed under AQP. Additional information 1. Regime & status: This notice is issued under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) for market engagement/specification development only. It is not a call for competition and does not start any standstill period. 2. Data & correspondence: Contact details submitted via the survey will be used solely for communications about this AQP market engagement and the subsequent procurement. 3. Queries can be sent to sussex.homecareaqp@evalucom.co.uk.
