Summary of the contracting process

Safer London, in collaboration with its Alliance partners, is seeking a provider to act as a Critical Friend with a focus on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) for their Children and Young People's Violence & Exploitation Support Service Alliance. The purpose of this role is to offer an independent and expert voice to challenge, support, and guide their EDI efforts, reflecting their commitment to embedding and practicing EDI in public services. This procurement process is at the tender stage, inviting proposals until 4 April 2025, with an expected contract period from 2 June 2025 to 30 May 2027.

The total value of the contract is £40,000 GBP, and it involves services delivered in England and Wales under CPV classification categories such as research and consultancy services. This tender opportunity presents significant potential for business growth, particularly for SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) and VCSEs (Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprises) that specialise in EDI consultancy, research, management, evaluation, and community action programmes. Businesses experienced in providing strategic and practical EDI guidance, and those capable of independent assessment and accountability in this field, are well-suited to compete.

The open procurement method provides an accessible avenue for these entities to expand their portfolio, enhance credibility, and make a substantial impact within an influential alliance committed to improving social equity and diversity.
