Summary, notice description and lot information
" This tender falls under the health services category, aiming to establish a provider list for delivering long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) to women on the Isle of Wight. Relevant suppliers must complete an Enrolment Questionnaire and meet the specified criteria to be included on this list. The procurement stage is currently in the contract award phase, with the contract period extended until 31 March 2026 due to unforeseen circumstances and the need to align with other re-procurement schedules.
The total value of the contract is £700,000. This tender offers significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in health services, particularly those providing contraceptive options. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the capability and experience in offering LARC services would benefit from applying.
Being part of this approved provider list allows suppliers to carry out services and be reimbursed by the Authority for the activities performed, ensuring steady business for qualified providers. This tender presents a strategic opportunity for suitable businesses to enhance their market presence and secure a stable revenue stream within the public health sector.
The Isle of Wight Council ("the Authority") Public Health Sexual Health commissioner is establishing an approved provider list for the delivery of a long-acting reversible contraception ("LARC") service that aims to ensure that women on the Isle of Wight requiring contraception are given information about, and offered a choice of contraceptive options including LARC methods. Potential providers wishing to be admitted on to the approved provider list must complete the Enrolment Questionnaire ("EQ") and be able to demonstrate that they meet all of the minimum criteria listed. Any provider that is able to demonstrate that they meet these criteria will be admitted on to the approved provider list and will be able to carry out LARC services and recharge the Authority for the activity undertaken.
