The NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract for ECG Interpretation Services under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) for Health Care Services, following the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The contract, valued at £164,494, was awarded to Broomwell Healthwatch Ltd, and covers the region of Walsall and Dudley (UKG3). This procurement process was executed through a Direct Award Process C without prior publication of a call for competition, as it falls outside the scope of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

The service offers GPs access to quick, expert, clinician interpretation of adult ECGs.
In addition, the Holter interpretation service gives access to diagnostic tools for patients complaining of palpitations. The ICB intends to award this contract via Direct Award Process C. The total value of the contract is PS164,494.
