Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has concluded the procurement process by awarding a contract for GP Locally Commissioned Services to Clover Group Practice, located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Governed by the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, this procurement was finalised through a direct award without prior publication of a call for competition. Despite the current award stage marked as complete, the contract, signed on 1st April 2025, will run from that date until 31st March 2026, focusing on general practitioner services under the CPV classification 85121100.
This tender provides an opportunity for GP service providers, specifically those already holding contracts via the GP Framework, to grow their business by expanding their service offerings through the Locally Commissioned Services enhancement. As the contract prioritises interdependency between the GP Framework and LCS, it ensures sustained collaboration between established providers and the NHS South Yorkshire ICB. Business growth in this sector can be achieved by meeting contract specifications and gaining local activity-based payments, making it suitable for small to medium-sized enterprises in healthcare services looking to bolster their portfolio.
This contract Award has been made following direct award process A of the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (GP) is because they are required to hold a contract via the GP Framework and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the GP Framework contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract will be from 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026
